Diagnosis and assessment of stress urinary incontinence in women

ABSTRACT
Urinary incontinence is a disease that limits life activity and occurs more often in women than in men. The study aimed to present methods of the diagnosis and assessment of stress urinary incontinence such as interviews, assessment of body posture, and breathing mechanism, mobility tests, external examination with visual assessment, and additional diagnostic tools in the form of tests and questionnaires. Modern diagnostic methods and the cooperation of doctors and physiotherapists allow the implementation of effective therapeutic and educational activities in the field of urinary incontinence.

STRESZCZENIE
Nietrzymanie moczu jest schorzeniem prowadzącym do ograniczenia aktywności życiowej, występującym częściej u kobiet niż mężczyzn. Celem pracy było przedstawienie metod diagnostyki oraz sposobów oceny wysiłkowego nietrzymaniu moczu. Należą do nich wywiad, ocena postawy ciała, mechanizmu oddychania, testy mobilności, badanie zewnętrzne wraz z oceną wzrokową oraz dodatkowe narzędzia diagnostyczne w postaci testów i kwestionariuszy. Nowoczesne metody diagnostyki oraz współpraca lekarzy i fizjoterapeutów pozwalają na wdrożenie skutecznych działań terapeutycznych oraz edukacyjnych w zakresie problemu nietrzymania moczu.
