Articles submitted for publication in the bi-monthly Aesthetic Cosmetology are reviewed by two independent Reviewers.
At least two (2) independent reviewers from outside the unit are appointed to evaluate each publication.
In the case of texts created in a foreign language, at least one (1) of the reviewers is affiliated with a foreign institution other than the nationality of the author of the work.
The basic solution is a model in which the authors and reviewers do not know each other’s identity (the so-called double-blind review process).
The review must be in written form and must end with a clear conclusion as to the admission of the article to publication or its rejection:
- Two negative reviews disqualify the article from the next editorial stages.
- Two positive reviews qualify the article for publication.
- In the event of a discrepancy between the Reviewers, the Editorial Board may appoint a third Reviewer. The Authors of the work must respond to the reviews by making the appropriate changes and corrections within two (2) weeks after receiving the review via e-mail.
Publication of the article is possible after the authors’ remarks have been made by reviewers.
The final decision on publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief after consulting members of the Scientific Council.
The rules for qualifying or rejecting publications and a possible review form are publicly available on the journal’s website or in any issue of the journal.
The names of the reviewers of individual publications / numbers are not disclosed.
Once a year, the journal publishes a list of cooperating reviewers.
